Viewing Transactions

How to browse, search, and filter your transaction history in JE-PFM.

The Transactions page is where you explore all of your imported financial activity. Every transaction from every account is available in one unified, searchable list.

Transaction List

By default, transactions are sorted by date (newest first). Each row shows:

  • Date — when the transaction occurred according to your bank.
  • Payee — the merchant or entity name from the bank's records.
  • Account — which account the transaction belongs to.
  • Category — the assigned spending or income category.
  • Amount — the transaction amount, colored green for credits and red for debits.

Filtering

Use the filter bar at the top of the page to narrow your view:

  • Date range — select a preset (this month, last 30 days, this year) or enter custom start and end dates.
  • Account — show transactions from a specific account or all accounts.
  • Category — filter to one or more spending categories.
  • Amount range — set minimum and/or maximum amounts to find transactions of a specific size.
  • Search — type any text to search across payee names, memos, and reference numbers.

Filters combine with AND logic: setting both an account filter and a category filter shows only transactions that match both.

Transaction Details

Click any transaction to open its detail panel. Here you can:

  • View the full payee name, memo, and bank reference (FITID).
  • Change the assigned category.
  • Add a personal note or tag for future reference.
  • See which import file brought this transaction into JE-PFM.

Exporting

You can export your filtered transaction list to CSV for use in spreadsheets or other tools. The export includes all visible columns plus any notes or tags you have added.
