FAQ

Common questions about JE-PFM, data security, and getting started

How is my financial data secured?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Supabase with row-level security policies, meaning your data is isolated at the database level. No one — not even our team — can access your financial data.

Which banks and file formats are supported?

JE-PFM supports OFX and QFX file imports, which are available from virtually every US bank and credit union. Simply download your transaction file from your bank's website and import it into JE-PFM.

Do I need to give you my bank login credentials?

No. JE-PFM uses file-based import, not screen scraping or credential sharing. You download transaction files directly from your bank and import them into JE-PFM. Your bank credentials stay with your bank.

Can multiple family members use one account?

Yes. JE-PFM supports team accounts where family members or partners can view and manage shared finances together. Each member has their own login with role-based permissions.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export all your transaction data, budgets, and reports at any time. We believe your data belongs to you — no vendor lock-in.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation. You can export everything before or during that period. After 90 days, all data is permanently deleted per our privacy policy.
